N(N)LE Railway Transport College expresses solidarity with the global
campaign against gender-based violence, which begins on November 25, the
International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and lasts for
16 days. Within the framework of the week, UN Women Georgia held an information
meeting to raise awareness about gender-based violence.
The main goal of the meeting was to raise knowledge and awareness about the
existing and established stereotypes in society, various forms of violence
against women, the factors causing these problems and the importance of gender
equality. Also, about the right to equality, which is provided for in the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention on the Elimination of All
Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the Constitution of Georgia and
the Law of Georgia "On the Elimination of All Forms of
Discrimination".
At N(N)LE Railway Transport College contributes to the development of a
safer and more informed society.
