Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Givi Mikanadze visited
the Railway Transport College, where he inspected the educational
infrastructure and met with the employees.
The Minister got acquainted with the educational process and received
detailed information from representatives of the educational institution
regarding the challenges facing the college.
Givi Mikanadze focused on the importance of the college in terms of
training professional personnel in the field of railway transport. According to
him, due to its specificity, the college is one of the leading professional educational
institutions across the country.
As Givi Mikanadze noted, the development and strengthening of professional
colleges is an important priority for the ministry and support for colleges
will continue actively in the future.
The Railway Transport College was established based on international
experience and is focused on training personnel for the railway industry.
Training includes such areas as construction, mechanical engineering,
electricity and electronics, as well as service and safety areas. The college
implements 20 authorized vocational education programs in Tbilisi, Samtredia
and Tetritskaro.
