Clause
1. General provisions
1.1.
The career support Mechanisms
(hereinafter referred to as 'the Mechanisms') for vocational students at the
N(N)LE Railway Transport College (hereinafter referred to as 'the Institution')
have been developed based on the Law of Georgia 'On Vocational Education,' the
standards for the authorization of vocational
educational nstitutions outlined in the Order of the Minister of Education and
Science of Georgia No. 99/n, dated October 1, 2010, 'On the Regulation on the
Authorization of Educational Institutions and Approval of Fees,' current
legislation, recommendations from education experts, and the Institution's
charter.
1.2.
The purpose of this document is
to ensure the employment of vocational students by developing a
unified career support Mechanism.
Clause 2. Career support measures for existing and
potential vocational students
2.1. The
Institution regularly holds meetings with
schools, organization beneficiaries, and job seekers, providing detailed
information about the training and employment opportunities offered by the Institution
and its partner employers. Additionally, these events help disseminate
information about the vocational education programs implemented by the Institution
and the relevant professions.
2.2. To
facilitate successful career development for vocational
students, the Institution's Career
Guidance and Planning
Manager regularly provides them with
information. This is done both based on the Institution's
assessment of student needs and in response to individual student requests.
2.3. Informing
refers to providing vocational students/trainees with comprehensive information
about the steps involved in the process leading to employment.
Clause
3. Communication
with vocational students and
graduates
3.1. Vocational students and graduates are regularly provided
with information about the Institution's partner companies and the
employment opportunities offered by these companies.
3.2. The
process outlined in paragraph 3.1 of this Article is coordinated by the Institution's
Career Guidance
and Planning Manager,
who ensures its effectiveness by creating and maintaining databases of
employers and graduates, which include information on graduate employment.
3.3. Vocational students are informed about relevant
vacancies during group meetings or through social networks/email. Graduates are
informed individually via telephone communication.
3.4. A
graduate satisfaction survey will be conducted with vocational students within 3 months of completing their
studies. The questionnaire is developed by the Career Guidance and Planning
Manager. The survey investigates the following issues:
3.4.1. Whether the graduate was employed;
3.4.2. Whether he/she was employed in the
specialty he/she graduated from;
3.4.3. Whether he/she is satisfied with the
knowledge and skills acquired within the framework of the vocational education
program;
3.4.4. Whether he/she uses them in the work
process, etc.
3.5. The
Career Guidance and Planning Manager processes and analyzes the data obtained
from the survey outlined in paragraph 3.4 of this article. The internal support
group is then informed to develop appropriate recommendations.
3.6. The Institution
maintains constant communication with employers. In addition to the graduate
satisfaction survey, the Institution conducts a survey of employers to
assess whether the professional skills developed by vocational students align
with the employment field, whether students require additional practice, how
well graduates' competencies match the requirements of relevant positions, and
whether the duration of the vocational education program is sufficient to
achieve its goals. The survey is conducted within 3 months of program
completion, and based on the results, the internal support group develops
recommendations to improve the quality of the learning process.
Clause
4. Final Provisions
4.1.
These Mechanisms are approved by the
director of the Institution by
order.
4.2.
These Mechanisms are canceled, amendments
and/or additions are made by order of the director.
