Open Day Held at Railway Transport College
On September 18, Railway Transport College hosted an Open Day attended by representatives of the Youth Agency, school students, and individuals interested in vocational education.
The main purpose of the event was to introduce participants to the College’s activities, vocational education programmes, modern learning environment, and opportunities for practical training.
The guests were welcomed by the Director of Railway Transport College, Manana Moistsrapishvili, who spoke about the importance of vocational education, opportunities for making informed career choices, the vocational education programmes offered by the College, and their practical components. She also highlighted the career development opportunities that vocational education offers to young people.
The Open Day continued with an informative presentation about the College and meetings with vocational programme heads. They provided participants with detailed information about the content of the programmes, the specifics of the learning process, practical training opportunities, as well as employment and career prospects in the relevant professions.
The meeting also included a question-and-answer session, giving participants an opportunity to ask programme heads questions directly and receive detailed information on topics of interest.
As part of the event, participants toured the College’s learning facilities and infrastructure and then took part in practical workshops. Using the locomotive simulator, they gained practical insight into the profession of a locomotive driver and also participated in practical activities related to firefighting and occupational safety.
Throughout the Open Day, participants had the opportunity to receive additional information, share their views, and learn more about registration and study opportunities within the College’s vocational education programmes.
Registration for the vocational education programmes offered by Railway Transport College begins on September 21 and will remain open through October 9.
